FOR A FRESH PAIR OF EYES
Get oriented in a project.
You have a folder of code, notes and docs. Ask for an overview of the workspace you approved. Follow the inspection and read a summary grounded in observed files.
An agent harness for your computer. Give it a task, talk it through,
and stay close to the work—without doing every step yourself.
Reconstructed product interactions. Capabilities and end-to-end availability vary by supported surface.
A LITTLE DIRECTION GOES A LONG WAY
From understanding a project to reviewing a file change, the useful part is the conversation around the work.
FOR A FRESH PAIR OF EYES
You have a folder of code, notes and docs. Ask for an overview of the workspace you approved. Follow the inspection and read a summary grounded in observed files.
FOR CHANGES THAT DESERVE A LOOK
Ask the built-in agent for a focused file edit. Inspect the proposed change, then allow the exact action once or deny it. Keep the decision attached to the work.
FOR THE MOMENTS ONLY YOU CAN JUDGE
When the next step needs you, pause the agent and inspect the screen through the Companion review surface. Manual control stays a deliberate human action.

A HOST ON YOUR MAC. A CONVERSATION IN YOUR HANDS.
Your computer is the execution environment. The host connects the conversation to the tools and permissions you allow.
The desktop app handles setup, provider configuration and computer permissions.
Approve the workspace and capabilities the host may use. Linking a client is an explicit decision.
Use localhost web chat or a configured client. Both go through the same host path.
See progress, review exact actions, Stop when needed and check the result.
Mac first. A reachable host and configured AI provider are needed for agent work. Windows and Linux remain planned adapters.
YOUR CONVERSATION, YOUR CHOICE
The Mac app handles local setup, permissions and recovery. Configured channels are additional clients, and localhost web chat rehearses the same host conversation path. The goal is the same host-owned work wherever you talk.
Cross-client conversation continuity and engine choice are still under validation. A chat message alone cannot widen access.

POWERED BY POCKATE FOUNDATIONS
Companion uses the host’s policy, typed capabilities and evidence foundations. Their extraction into independent Pockate products is incremental; every standalone integration has its own proof.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Companion is a computer-agent harness product. Its Mac host runs the work and owns permissions, conversation state, approvals and recovery. Configured channels are clients of that host.
Pockate Labs is the product ecosystem. Companion is a separate application that uses selected Pockate foundations. You can explore the underlying products without adopting Companion.
The development foundation includes typed Mac tools, project inspection, chat, exact approval surfaces, Activity, screen review and Stop. The demonstrations use illustrative data. A complete installed-app/provider journey is still under validation.
Telegram and WhatsApp connector foundations exist, but live provider access, platform eligibility and real-device acceptance remain open. Slack is planned. They are not a promise of a publicly available messaging service.
Adapter implementations exist and selectable engines are part of the direction. External CLI supervision and the shared client experience are still being validated. A coding harness stays in its approved project scope; it does not inherit unrestricted Mac access.
